Managing Attorney
Jakob Seegmuller is a Managing Attorney at NW Legacy Law focused on helping people through the difficult discussions around planning for death and assisting clients through the legal process that results from the death of a loved one. His work centers on estate planning and estate settlement with an emphasis on court proceedings. Jakob's approach avoids burying clients in legal jargon, instead presenting them with clear, compassionate advice and realistic solutions.
Based in Vancouver, Washington, Jakob has been practicing at NW Legacy Law since 2018 and is licensed in both Oregon and Washington. His work includes estate planning for families and individuals interested in thoughtful and purposeful planning, as well as assisting families through probate and trust administrations. As an attorney in a boutique firm, his role includes hands-on representation of clients from consultation to the conclusion of their matter, while also developing new strategies to continually refine processes and provide tools and resources for clients administering estates.
Since 2018, Jakob and his wife, Alexandra, have lived in Portland's historic St. Johns neighborhood. You can catch them at the movies at the local Twin Cinema, shopping at the farmer's market, or SCUBA diving in warm waters or up in the Puget Sound. He also conquers monsters in a weekly game of Dungeons & Dragons with his friends and colleagues.
